Biltema brännare

I had a little chat with MrSvetsare about the cost of building stills and I started thinking, maybe we should set up instructions for building a simple pot still. I think it should be possible to get all the parts at one go to biltema.

First we would need a boiler. A fermentation bucket is of course best but from biltema we could get:

Don't know if it's PP or not, that should be checked.

Then the heating element:

Then the liebig. First a connector to the bucket (of course fermentation bucket gasket works just as well):

http://www.biltema.se/sv/Bygg/VVS/Ror-o ... ane-86624/

Then the liebig core:

http://www.biltema.se/sv/Bygg/VVS/Ror-o ... raa-86989/

Then we need some hose connectors and hose to make the liebig jacket:

I haven't checked those but it looks like there's all the parts needed to make a liebig jacket.

One thing missing is R15 nut and an o-ring for sealing.

Anyone for a build? Just take lot's of photos and we can put together instructions for a pot still that everyone can build and you only need to go to biltema to get all the parts.

Edit: actually we should probably use fermentation bucket since one has to be bought for mashing. It would even be possible to use the boiler for mashing if one wants to cut costs.

As far as I understand that bucket does not have a lid.

OK, if that bucket doesn't have a lid then it's definately the fermentation bucket. BTW, there are some fermentation buckets with blue PE lids, don't use those as the lid gets soft when warm. The fermentation bucket air lock gasket is a perfect fit for 10mm copper pipe and lasts several distillations before it needs replacement.
